Note: RACK16 is a PC box supplied by MCDI Inc. supporting up to 8 TLR+ ISA bus alarm receiver card. As of January 1st 2003, MCDI stopped making the PC box for RACK16. However the program called RACK24 powering RACK16 is available as shareware. RACK24 software is free but not supported without a service contract. The RACK24 software enables the conversion of a normal PC box with up to 8 TLR+ cards (rev. 4 and up) into a complete alarm receiver. Next generation of Multi-line alarm receivers, based on Exprecium card, will be announced next April 2006. Description RACK16 is a (19") rack mounted receiver with a 2 line basic configuration upgradable to 16 lines. Displays line status and incoming signals on integrated monitor. Based on high-performance TLR+ receiver, RACK16 comes with 2 keyboard connectors, 2 serial ports, Ethernet port on option and parallel printer port. RACK16 is Internet compatible and connects directly to LAN without in between PC. Monitoring Station sees RACK16 as a receiver, COM or LAN connected. RACK16 is the reliable and configurable alternative for the high volume year 2000 Central.
