MCDI SECURITY PRODUCTS is proud to announce the official release of new receiver DECRYPTA 6. We are now shipping units worldwide. This new unique receiver is sure to bring alarm receiving to new heights with a splendid new design and features never heard of in the industry.
Who is D6 for?
D6 is targeted to Centrals small or large who want to benefit from its advanced design and enhanced features. Smaller Centrals can add value with the technology built in D6 while the larger operations can also take advantage of the higher traffic D6 can handle.
Widespread operations will like D6 as it gives them the ability to receive alarm over phone lines in one place while reporting over IP to a Central station. It's now easy to receive a feed from a remote monitoring station or to switch the alarm feed to a central point or headquarters after hours.
Any Central conscious about redundancy will like D6 right away. D6 was designed to be use remotely and unattended. A lot of redundancy and safety features are built-in.
With D6 audio module coming later in 2009, Centrals who use audio verification -2 way voice or listen-in- will have an integrated solution to bring audio signal directly to the Operator. Centrals who want to use Tunstall TTnew format or PERS (Personal Emergency Response Systems) will have a unique powerful solution without having to invest large sums in Telephone systems.
Among the features of D6
Space saver Rack mount design
D6 only measures 1U rack mount i.e. 1.75 in (4.45 cm) height x 19 inches standard rack mount. You can pack 24 lines in just 4U. This includes 4 power supplies and 4 CPU units for increased operational security.
Low ratio lines per CPU
6 lines per CPU are standard in D6. This gives ample room for the CPU to breathe and less impact if a component breaks.
ARM processor technology
ARM processors are the most efficient for a Linux embedded design. They require fewer parts thus insuring fast processing requiring less power and they generate very low heat.
6 phone lines, 3 output ports, 8 destinations
Outputs over serial, USB, printer and Ethernet ports. Up to 8 simultaneous feeds. Handshaking and port supervision for all ports. Loss of communication with one port is reported to the other ports.
5 redundant IP feeds.
Send alarms to a main IP destination and up to 4 back-up or alternate destinations. This means you can send alarms over IP to your automation software and back-up to a second destination or to a head office.
Report over IP, serial or USB ports
Send alarm signals to your automation software either locally or over internet. Choice of 4 ports is available with 5 IP destinations: 1 main and up to 4 back-up/alternate destinations.
Front service access
D6 construction is two parts with a chassis fixed to the rack mount frame and a chariot sliding out of the chassis for easy access. All major components can be replaced in the field.
3 power sources
3 power sources available: main from power supply, secondary from a 12V battery and third from internal lithium-ion battery with automatic switching between power sources.
Internal lithium-ion battery with >1H uptime.
Each D6 is equipped with integrated battery charger for its lithium-ion battery pack supplying at least one hour power. Ideal when making maintenance chores or in case of emergency.
Configuration by front display or over IP
Two configuration modes are available. You either configure D6 directly from the front panel or over IP with supplied D6 configurator application no matter where you are in the world. Ideal for a Central IT to manage remote units.
D6 configurator is supplied in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and German. Other languages can be added.
Over 12 millions events in memory
Removable memory with more than 12 millions log lines. Logs can be downloaded over the internet for analysis in a PC.
Analyze logs
With D6, you can download logs on your pc even if your receiver is at the other end of the country. You can import logs in simple tools such as Excel or Word.
Updates over IP
Updates to CPU and line cards are achieved over IP. No need to send a technician to remote location. MCDI can maintain D6 over IP or end user can self update D6 by way of D6 configurator.
Stand-by units at MCDI for advance replacement
All parts are field interchangeable and MCDI keeps stand-by parts. Changing components typically only requires a screwdriver and connecting supplied cables.
Lower weight for reduced shipping price
At 2.25Kg, reduce weight means reduce shipping costs worldwide. (4.5kg packed with all accessories).

One of the most interesting features of D6 is the ability to report to the monitoring software over the internet. D6 design allows placement in a remote location. No need to have receiver and software in the same control room anymore. D6 allows any Central to become global!

You do not need to leave your chair to change D6 parameters. D6 is supplied with over the internet configuration tools using SSL encryption.

THE EXTRIUM FAMILY
D6 is the first member of the Extrium family to be launched. The Extrium platform was developed by MCDI for use in a complete line of receivers. The Extrium platform is built around an efficient ARM processor. With this processor, MCDI was able to built a dedicated computer on a very small platform with yet a lot of features such as Ethernet port, 2 USB device ports, 1 USB host port, SD memory card reader, 5 serial ports, SSC and I2C ports, battery charger, triple alimentation switcher and LCD display. All this without moving parts such as prone to break fans or hard drives and 
with very low heat dissipation. Extrium uses an embedded Linux OS configured to be extremely efficient.
ENHANCED COMPATIBILITY WITH SECURITHOR
SECURITHOR, MCDI upcoming automation software has built-in IP reception for D6 signals. If not using SECURITHOR, MCDI is shipping D6 with TCP2COM software to receive D6 IP signals and transfer them to your automation software over virtual serial port.

LOW HEAT
With a small yet powerful ARM processor, MCDI was able to build D6 generating very little heat thus making D6 fan less. This guarantees D6 does not rely on fans to keep temperature down or that you don't have to keep it in an air conditioned server room.
EASY SERVICE
Too insure D6 performs in nearly all locations, we made it to be serviced from the front. The D6 box is two parts, chassis and chariot. The chassis is made to stay in the rack mount frame while the chariot is engineered to slide out of the front making service easy. All major components can be replaced in the field with stand-by parts. All parts are stocked by MCDI.
Easy installation without factory technician
Install and set Decrypta 6 basic configuration easily in minutes. Local staff can handle basic configuration. Given installation site specific parameters, trained local dealer may preset and install unit. Local dealer and MCDI support staff may be called upon for support if needed. Ease and speed of installation means a lower cost of acquisition.

RoHS compliance
D6 respects European and Chinese RoHS directives. No lead or cadmium used in 
manufacturing. RoHS compliance will also apply to Turkey in June 2009.
