Expensive port sharing devices are not necessary anymore to connect several Alarm receivers to regular PCs. USB gives a second output to D2: it reports to PCs on conventional serial output and USB at the same time. It can also report to 2 different PCs. 2 power sources give you redundancy without doubling the price! Like all MCDI receivers, D2 is not limited to a number of accounts per line. D2 receives SIA, Contact ID as well as most formats (more than 20!) on the market. Caller ID option is built-in. RACK 16 As of January 1st 2003, MCDI stopped making the PC box for RACK16. However the program called RACK24 powering RACK16 is available as shareware. RACK24 software is free but not supported without a service contract. The RACK24 software enables the conversion of a normal PC box with up to 12 TLR+ cards (rev. 4 and up) into a complete alarm receiver.
